The 20:1 means for each gallon of gas, you need to add 1/20 gallon of oil. Nothing measures such small amounts in gallons, so you also need to know that 1 gallon = 128 fluid ounces, so for each gallon of gas,you need to add 6.4 ounces of oil. Five gallons would require 32 ounces of oil, but the total mixture would be 5.25 gallons and might not fit in the can.
